DENTIN TUBULAR OCCLUSION
When the protective layer covering dentin near the base of the tooth becomes eroded or thinned, or if the gums recede, ultra-fine tubules that lead to the tooth nerve become exposed to outside stimuli, and short sharp pain can result. A range of studies, both in vitro and in situ, as observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM), show that SANGI's nano<mHAP> seals and forms a coating over exposed dentinal tubules,1 and this has been substantiated by the significant relief of hypersensitivity reported by subjects in clinical trials.2
